Jana Swenson, a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), began her journey in pastoral ministry, dedicating 15 years to leading congregations through seasons of spiritual growth. Like many church leaders, she initially saw fundraising as a burden rather than a blessing. Everything changed when Jana worked with a campaign consultant who reframed fundraising as a ministry—a way to invite others into the joy of giving.
Motivated by this shift, Jana became a Development Director, where she tackled years of previous years’ budget shortfalls and discovered how to engage donors. She honed her expertise in building sustainable fundraising strategies and equipping others to do the same.
